The hand crossbow is a holdout pistol in Samuel's boot; the dagger is kept in the other. Samuel is at times suspicious of his own powers, and feels safer with a backup. Samuel's staff is a metallic pistol of his own design that he finds helpful in channeling his powers.

Conditionals and other things I'm not gonna remember:
Reroll one initiative roll per day, keep second result.
+2 to slide/push/pull distance on any divine power channeled through the staff
Slide one enemy in the area of effect one square (actually three, see above) when using an encounter or daily.
