Vlad is generally considered a game mechanic that defies normal Phalla conventions, or a role that seems at first-glance to be game-breaking. This role is extremely uncommon, so its presence in a game usually forces two words to people's lips.
Any given Phalla run by Burnage is usually going to have some sort of unusual mechanics, extremely powerful roles, or role reversal.
The first known Vlad role was, well, Vlad, from Burnage's Max Payne, who had a secret win condition to kill his teammates, and could kill one of them mid-day by planting an explosive.
A game mechanic Vlad can be found in two other Burnage Phallas- Redemption, where everyone died Day 1 and the supposed mafia were actually village-aligned specials; and King of Fighters, where one faction possessed homing missiles for a day and could kill as many people as they wanted mid-day.
