PERSONALITY TRAITS
Boisterous and outgoing Henry Teach dosnt act like someone on the run from the law. Though he tries to come off as wealthy and interesting, Teach rarely spends money unless he has to, as he has a major goal he is saving towards. Though teach means well he tends to take any job that will offer fast money and a chance to network with other skilled fighers as he needs both to achive his goals. He is a heavy drinker, and enjoys having a good time as much as the next guy, probably more... While he tends to be light hearted most of the time, you would be hard pressed to find a someone more focused in combat having learned the consequences of not taking combat situations seriously. His comrades are the world to him, and while he has known many he tends to return loyalty tenfold.
MANNERISMS AND APPEARANCE
scruff and at times a bit on the ripe side, teach continues to follow the pirate lifestyle as best he can on land without a ship that is. he wears a heavy knee length coat with sky blue trim about the buttons and on the cuffs, and silver chords for detailing. this coat covers most of his elven style gear which he captured as spoils while on the Black Eyed Susan. he wears on a sash a gleaming rapier with a flower carved into the pommel, this was a gift from Mary Anne herself, for prowess in combat. he wears a bandanna about his head with a pair of magic goggles often worn at a 3/4 angle to his face.
COMPANIONS AND ALLIES
SESSION AND CAMPAIGN NOTES
Teach grew up in a small town not far from ashenport. orpahned at a young age, he spent most of his time causing trouble around the Orphanage desperatly seeking the attention that a normal child would have gotten from parents or siblings. The other orphans tended to shun him as he always seemed to be getting into trouble, and at this particular orphanage the consequences for causing trouble were severe. After one particuarly harsh beating Teach had had enough. one night after the orphans had all been put to bed, he made a break for it.
Having experianced his first taste of true freedom, young teach headed to the only place that nobody would notice one more young streetrat, the docks. He lived out his child hood as a pickpocket and small time thief, He had one run in after another with the local authorities and was imprisoned several times. The warden of the local lock up however was an orphan himself and couldnt find it in his heart to let the young man rot in jail, as a result Teach seldom spent more than a day or two in jail before he was back on the streets. The life of a small time criminal suited teach well, but when the warden was killed when his house burned down, his get out of jail free card had expired.
Knowing that his next mistake would likely be his last. Teach joined his friend and fellow street rat John Ward aboard the pirate ship The Black Eyed Susan. Aboard the ship his personality and love of the free life quickly gained him freinds. John also excelled while aboard the Susan, and as the pair moved up through the ranks on the ship they were taught the ways of the duelist by the captain herself. Mary Anne Roberts captain of the Susan and world renowned outlaw and fencer. she insisted that the sheet was only as strong as its weakest stitch, and that inorder to maintain a strong ship the entirety of the crew should be trained in her syle of combat favoring the rapier and other light blades as deck space on the ships is limited. The Black Eyed Susan was a favored home for Teach and John, but one summer, the helmsman fell asleep drunk, and ran the ship aground. stranded and with a host of marine vessels in persuit, the crew drew straws to see who would make it off on the lifeboats. John and Teach as well as a handful of others won the bet, with Mary Anne having chosen to stay behind, Teach and John swore that they would storm the mariene goaul one day and rescue her, being the closest thing to a mother they ever had.
Once parted from the rest of the crew only John and Teach seemed to have the resolve to actually carry through with their plan. Knowing that they were not yet ready to storm a marine prison, the set out on their seperate ways promiseing eachoter to return in 10 years with thier own fleets and crews to help break her out. However, first things first, Teach needed to make some money and find some allies.
