The lead marauder's breath was foul as he leaned over Aine. She takes a split second to mark each of the gang's positions in the dim alleyway. Leader in front. 6 inches. Lackey 1, behind her and to the left, 3 feet. Lackey 2 stands with a crossbow behind and to the right. 8 feet. With a flash her moves are planned.

Aine smiles sweetly into the face of the murderous bastard before her. "I'll give you and yer boyos one more second to surrender quietly or I'll cleanse this world of yer filth." The lead marauder's face clouds in confusion for just a second before he and his lackeys burst out laughing, almost instantly his face becomes serious again and he snarls, "Try it, whore."

Aine draws The Weapon.

In one single, fluid motion the short, curved, sword slashes the leader across his belly as she lightly steps to the side, dodging the crossbow bolt. Spinning as The Weapon lengthens into a spear, she gouges the jugular of Lackey 2. Her momentum continues spinning her, dance-like, towards Lackey 1, The Weapon shifts again, into a long whip of woven metal links, tripping the man, and bringing him down. The entire fight is over in less than a fraction of a second.

Aine shifts The Weapon once more into a straight Longsword, whose point now rests upon the neck of the defeated man.

[b]History[/b]
Aine is a 'distantly' half-elven woman (reskinned human).
Aside from knowing elvish language and culture as a native, having a slight point to her ears, and occasionally seeming 'too cold and calculating' she hardly seems elvish at all (the elf in her lineage is several generations back).

She was exiled from 'Tir na Scaith' for being 'too Human' by the standards of Elf society. Conversely, she is often singled out by other humans for acting "too elvish" in spite of her mostly human looks.

Since her exile, she often hides her elvish ancestry, preferring to pass as human when possible, which works fine until an elf or someone else intimately familiar with elvish culture sees The Airgeatlamh, or witnesses her style of fighting, then the questions start.

Aine possesses a powerful enchanted elvish Weapon-Artifact, passed down to her by her great grandmother, (the infamous elven warrior, Scatha of Duin Breacht).
It is known as the Airgeatlamh [i][Silver-Arm(weapon)][/i] This weapon has the power to take on the form of any weapon its user desires, making whosoever wields the Airgeatlamh a versatile and unpredictable opponent.

No matter its form, Airgeatlamh always has a black lacquered handle with delicate silver and gold filigree inlayed across it. The Airgeatlamh's "business" ends are always a bright silvery metal etched with similar curving, graceful designs.

When not actively in use, the Airgeatlamh takes the form of a short, curved, sword. (basic short sword) sheathed at the small of Aine's back.

[b]Personality[/b]
Aine is oftentimes quiet and reserved, but quick thinking, and very fast when action is called for. She is good-hearted, but cold and calculating, somewhat arrogant of her abilities, which are honestly formidable.

She's not a very conventional warrior, preferring speed and mobility to the simple brute strength and heavy blows of other fighters. Coupled with the Airgeatlamh, she is a wildly unpredictable foe capable of penetrating nearly any form of martial defense, and many arcane ones.

To compliment her martial prowess, Aine has had extensive training in Arcana and ritual work.
