The Red Circle

Clover's listed as a human in government records, but she'd gladly change the race on her identification card to 'cyborg' if she was given permission to. Her most obvious augmentation's definitely the faintly glowing spherical drone fitted into her left eye socket. The rest of her upgrades were internal, but are not any less useful than her flashy ocular drone. All of her senses, save for her sense of touch, are tuned to perform past human limits, allowing her to perform almost superhuman feats at times.

Despite her physical augments, she has chosen to work behind her cellphone screen most of the time, using her mini hacking device to siphon small amounts of cash from ATMs in order to maintain her middle class lifestyle. Her petty thefts have not gone unnoticed, however. One of her victims, unfortunately, turned out to be The Red Circle's money laundering front. Long story short, she was tracked down and forced to work as their lackey, as a form of compensation. On the brighter side of things, they eventually decided to invest in her talent after seeing her performance in a few runs, sending the top hackers within their organisation to further coach and train the young woman.

Even though her introduction into the Circle has been less than welcoming, Clover did eventually warm up to her new life. A cane with a hidden blade was given to her during her inauguration as a fully fledged Runner, sealing in her new life.
